OCTOBER TUITION

Payment for tuition/fees is exclusively accepted through our tuition software, and it will appear as a draft from your bank by Lincoln Savings Bank.

A late fee of $50.00 per month will be imposed on the 6th. If tuition remains unpaid for two consecutive weeks, the child may be withdrawn, and the spot will promptly be filled with a family from the waitlist.

Absences cannot be compensated by attending on an alternative day.

Invoices will be sent to the parent/guardian’s email on record. A New Day CDC prioritizes environmental sustainability and, therefore, issues receipts via email to the individual financially responsible each month during the tuition processing. These receipts contain all necessary information for taxes, HSA, and FSA purposes.

Tuition may be adjusted when necessary, with a complete 30-day written notice to the administration office of A New Day CDC from the parents. Kindly direct written emails to irma@anewdaycdc.com.

CLOTHING & PERSONAL ITEMS:

Due to the risk to the child, childcare licensing prohibits the use of students wearing any teething necklaces or using pacifiers with anything tethered to them (clip, stuffed animal etc.)

A New Day CDC also prohibits the use of any other jewelry to be worn at school.  Examples include necklaces, bracelets, snap bracelets etc.

Children should never bring electronic devices or personal toys to the school. Items brought from home can easily be damaged or lost and can also create unnecessary distractions within the classroom.  A New Day CDC is not responsible for any item children bring to school.

A NEW DAY CDC HOURS OF OPERATION

A New Day CDC is open year-round, Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Extended care is till 5:30 pm. Please respect these hours and DO NOT come early or late unless necessary, and then make sure you call if you must make a change. Please understand that late charges will be applied as necessary.

ARRIVALS & ATTENDANCE

On the occasion that your child may be absent from School due to an illness or otherwise, please give us a courtesy call and contact us no later than 8:00 a.m.  (512-264-7373)

It is important for your child to attend regularly in order to fulfill your child’s need for consistency and order. This also enables your child to participate fully in class lessons and other learning experiences that are provided by A New Day CDC.

We kindly ask all parents to have their child arrive at A New Day CDC before 8:45 a.m. This help the teachers get students ready for the educational portion of school readiness program begins.  Children who miss these lessons are deprived of this time and routine. In addition, when children enter the classroom after 8:45 a.m., it is disruptive to students and teachers who are already engaged in the day’s lessons.

LATE PICKUP FEES

WE DO UNDERSTAND SITUATIONS HAPPEN SO PLEASE SEND US A MESSASGE ON THE BRIGHT-WHEEL APP CALL THE SCHOOL AT 512-264-7373 IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE LATE.

Parents who pick up their child after the designated closing time of 5:30 pm will be charged a late fee of $20.00 for the first 5 minutes and an additional $2.00 per minute until the child is picked up.

Late fees are due and payable immediately to the staff member that is having to stay late at the time your child is picked up. The money received goes directly to that staff member and NOT the school.

Please understand that Late Fee Payments will NOT be included in the receipts through QuickBooks.

SECURITY

Safety is a top priority at A New Day Child Development Center. Parents are responsible for the safety of your children while on school property. Please ensure your children are with you as you walk to and from your vehicle into the school and while on school grounds. Children must enter and leave the building under direct adult supervision. We ask that all students be carried or walked directly to your car during morning drop offs and again during afternoon pick-up.

PLEASE DO NOT LET CHILDREN RUN AROUND THE PARKING LOT OR ANYWHERE OUTSIDE THE SCHOOL BUILDING!

A New Day will be closed on

PRE K CLASSROOM FIELD TRIP

Sweet Berry Farms Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

Date: Tuesday, October 21st 🎃

We’re excited to announce that our Pumpkin Party Field Trip to Sweet Berry Farms is coming up on Tuesday, October 21st!

Here are the details:

·      Parent Attendance: Each student must have at least one parent present in order to participate in this field trip, and parents are responsible for providing transportation for their own child.

·      Cost: $7.00 per student and $6.00 for each parent attending.

·      Departure Time: We will leave the school parking lot exactly at 9:30 a.m. for our 10:30 a.m. tour. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early, as we are unable to wait for anyone running late.

·      Carpooling: Many families choose to carpool. If that’s something you’d like to do, we encourage you to reach out to other parents in your child’s class.

·      Lunch: Please be sure to pack your child and yourself a sack lunch and drink.

Tour will last 45 minutes to one hour and children will get to:

•           Go on a hayride to see how scarecrows live on a farm

•           Visit and feed the goats

•           Pick out a pumpkin to paint and take home

•           Go through the maze

•           Children will eat lunch right after the field trip.

•           Will get a popsicle treat after lunch

After the Field Trip – Important Information

Please let us know whether your child will return to school after the field trip or if you plan to take them home directly from Sweet Berry Farms.

This information is very important for planning the rest of our day. If no students are returning, teachers will be allowed to take the afternoon off.

If any students will be coming back to school, our teachers will also return to school.

Thank you for helping us plan ahead!

Please let us know as soon as possible if you and your child will be attending so we can finalize our headcount with the farm.

This is always a great time for our student’s, and we are looking forward to a fun fall adventure with all of our families!

HALLOWEEN PARTY

Our Halloween Party will be on Friday, October 31st.

Parents are asked to send their child in a simple costume that’s easy for them to manage when using the restroom and comfortable enough for nap time.

We have a fun-filled day planned! The children will take part in a Halloween costume parade and go trick-or-treating to all the classrooms throughout the school.

We apologize, but the party is limited to students only.

Thank you in advance for your understanding!

EMERGENCY CLOSURES

Minimum Standards Emergency Situations #747.305: Examples of occurrences that may render the child-care center unsafe, unhealthy, or unable to operate are the lack of running water or electrical power. A New Day CDC may also be closed due to any sewer backups, floods, and fire or storm damage due to severe weather. Should bad weather arise while your child is in care, A New Day CDC will notify parents immediately to pick up their child, which will enable them to protect their children from high-risk situations.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

In order to keep staff and students safe there may be times when we will be closed due to extreme weather conditions. We will monitor the situation and send schedule updates accordingly through the Brightwheel App. We typically observe the same bad weather days as Lake Travis Independent School District. If bad weather or other occurrences close or delay the start of LTISD schools, announcements will be made by the news media by 6:30 a.m. on the morning of the cancellation/delay. These days will not be made up nor will refunds be given for missed days. Whenever possible, we will provide closing information through our text notification system. A New Day CDC will be CLOSED for the day if LTISD cancels school or delays start time due to severe or inclement weather.

As mandated by DFPS, all students will be exposed to fire, severe weather and lock down drills to ensure safety procedures in case of an emergency. A New Day CDC has a detailed Emergency Preparedness Plan, which includes expanded outlines and thorough information on all procedures available upon request.
