SUMMER SCHEDULE

  • Our school schedule changes during the summer months. We will be going outside first thing each morning and covering the curriculum in the afternoons. Due to the high summer temperatures, we will not be spending any time outside in the afternoons.

  • As we go outside first thing in the morning, we ask that children who arrive after 8:00 am have breakfast before arriving at school. This is because all staff will be required to be outside during this time.

SUMMER DAYS

  • Each child will need to have a sun hat for added sun protection during outside time, along with a bottle of sunscreen and a bottle of insect repellent to keep at the school.

  • Please ensure all your child’s personal belongings, such as backpacks, lunchboxes, towels, sun hats, and sunscreen, are labeled with your child’s first and last name.

SUNSCREEN APPLICATION

  • Parents must apply sunscreen to their children before arriving at school. Teachers will reapply sunscreen as needed throughout the day.

SUMMER SPLASH DAYS

Splash Days will take place every Tuesday and Wednesday morning throughout the month of July, weather permitting. Please note that if it’s raining in the morning, Splash Day will be canceled, as the rainwater is usually too cold for the children to enjoy safely.

SPLASH DAYS CLASS SCHEDULES

PRE-K PLAYGROUND:

  • Every Tuesdays & Wednesdays: Splash Day for the 3-year-old class and the Pre-K (4–5-year-old) classrooms.

TODDLER PLAYGROUND:

  • Tuesdays: Reserved for the 2-year-old classrooms.

  • Wednesdays: Reserved for Infant’s 12–18-month class, along with the Toddler 18–24-month classes.

SPLASH DAYS GUIDELINES

  • Arrive Ready to Splash:
Children should come to school wearing their swimsuits with sunscreen already applied before 8:45 am.

  • Towels:
Please send a clean towel with your child each Splash Day.

  • Change of Clothes:
Pack a full change of clothes in a labeled Ziplock bag inside your child’s backpack. This will be used after water play.

  • Sunscreen:
Parents are responsible for applying sunscreen/insect repellant before arrival. Teachers will reapply sunscreen as needed throughout the day.

  • Swimsuit & Towel Care:
Swimsuits and towels will be sent home daily to be washed. These items will not be stored at school.

  • Lunch on Splash Days:

Ages 3–5 yrs. old eat lunch outside, so we ask that you please send a simple sack lunch that does not need to be warmed up.

    • PLEASE DO NOT send rice or any pasta that requires heating as it’s difficult for the children to eat while sitting outside.

    • Here are some easy lunch ideas that work well outdoors: Sandwiches or wraps Cheese sticks or cubes Fruit slices (apples, grapes, bananas) Frozen Yogurt tubes Crackers, pretzels, or granola bars Mini muffins or a simple snack pack.

    • Please also make sure your child comes to school each day with a clean, full water bottle.

    • Thank you for your help making Splash Days fun for everyone!

Ages 12 months–2 years: These children will eat lunch indoors after Splash Day activities.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

Birthday celebrations at school are simple and inclusive. Parents may bring in a store-bought snack for your child’s class, arranged in individual portions for convenience.

REMINDER

To help protect all our student’s feelings, we kindly ask that birthday invitations for personal parties only be sent through your child’s teacher if the entire class is invited.

This helps ensure no child feels left out or excluded.

Treat bags may be exchanged at parent’s cost.

If you prefer not to celebrate your child's birthday at school, please notify us in writing beforehand.

SUMMER BREAK

A NEW DAY CDC WILL BE CLOSED THE WEEK OF:

JULY 07, 2025 through JULY 11, 2025

To provide your child with the best care possible, our team must remain in good physical and emotional health. Since the school operates on a planned budget and must meet its financial obligations promptly, the following school closures will be observed as paid holidays. Due to fixed costs averaged over the calendar year, there will be no reduction in tuition for these days off.

PARENT REFERRALS

Help Us Grow Our School Family!
The best compliment we can receive is your referral. We have a few spots remaining for the 2025–2026 school year, and we’d love your help in filling them with wonderful families like yours.

As a thank you, A New Day CDC offers a $300 referral bonus once the family you refer has been enrolled for 6 weeks.

2025-2026 HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

Ensuring your child's well-being depends on our team maintaining good physical and emotional health. Our school strictly adheres to a thoughtfully planned budget to promptly fulfill financial commitments. Therefore, upcoming holidays and school closures will be observed as paid holidays, with specific dates communicated in advance through posted memos.

If a holiday falls on a weekend, the corresponding day off will be observed on either Friday or Monday. Despite fixed costs spread over the calendar year, please be aware that there will be no reduction in tuition for these scheduled breaks.

We recommend keeping a copy of the calendar below for reference, enabling your family to plan accordingly.
