🌼 May will be a busy month! 🌼

May is going to be a very special and busy month here at A New Day CDC! We have so many wonderful events planned for our families and students, including:

💐 Muffins with Moms Week
🍎 Teacher Appreciation Week
🎓 Pre-K Graduation
📚 Parent/Teacher Conferences

Each of these events is an important opportunity to celebrate our children, connect with families, and recognize the amazing work happening in our classrooms every day.

We kindly ask that you keep these dates available so you and your family can be a part of these special moments.

We can’t wait to celebrate with all of you! 💛

PARENT REMINDERS!

Please ensure your child has an extra set of clothes suitable for the summer weather.

For safety, please refrain from including glass containers in your child's lunch box.

WATER BOTTLES

We kindly ask that you send your child with a leak-proof water bottle—one where the straw or spout closes completely and does not leak when tipped.

We've noticed several water bottles dripping down the hallway in the mornings, which creates a slipping hazard for our little ones and staff.

Your help in preventing spills and keeping our hallways safe and dry is greatly appreciated!

STUDENT DROP OFF CUT-OFF TIME

Parents are asked not to bring children in after 8:45 a.m. except in the event of a doctor’s appointment, an emergency, or a special family occasion. Please send a message on the BW app for approval.

Our Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held May 18th–21st via FaceTime. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with your child’s teacher and discuss their growth and development.

A conference sign-up form will be sent through the Brightwheel app. Please be sure to complete the form as soon as possible. Your child’s teacher will review your request and reply to confirm your scheduled time slot.

Important Information:

  • Conferences will be held via FaceTime

  • Please ensure your phone number is FaceTime-enabled

  • Conferences will be approximately 15 minutes in length to allow time for all families to be scheduled

  • Your child’s teacher will confirm your scheduled time

SUMMER VACATIONS & TUITION POLICY

We understand summer is a time for family vacations and making special memories, and we fully support that.

Tuition is based on enrollment, not attendance. Therefore, tuition remains due in full during all absences, including vacations, illness, or holidays, as the school continues to maintain staffing and operations.

Consistent enrollment helps children stay connected to their routine, friendships, and learning environment, while allowing us to provide stable, high-quality care.

If your child is withdrawn for the summer, their space will be offered to families on our waitlist. Re-enrollment is based on availability and cannot be guaranteed.

A minimum of four (4) weeks’ written notice is required for any extended absence or withdrawal.

Enrollment is first-come, first-served, and we will always do our best to accommodate returning families.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK

HELP US HONOR THE BEST OF THE BEST!

We are so excited to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week from Monday, May 4th through Friday, May 8th!

This week is a heartfelt opportunity to recognize the incredible teachers who give so much of themselves each and every day. From the hugs and encouragement to the patience, guidance, and dedication they show our babies, our teachers truly make A New Day such a special place.

We are beyond grateful for the love, passion, and commitment they pour into every child, every day.

Thank you for helping us celebrate and show just how much they mean to all of us! 💛

SUMMER SPLASH DAYS ARE COMING!

Get ready for one of our favorite traditions—Summer Splash Days are coming back! We’ll kick things off on June 1st and keep the fun going through the first week of August.

Our babies absolutely love cooling off, playing in the water, and enjoying these special summer moments with their friends.

Be on the lookout for more details coming soon, including your child’s assigned splash day and what to bring. It’s going to be a fun-filled summer!

PARENT INVOLVEMENT OPPORTUNITY

We’ve had several parents express interest in more opportunities to be involved, and we’re excited to invite volunteers for our upcoming Summer Splash Days!

These are always fun (and busy!) days, and having a few extra hands makes a big difference. We are looking for a couple of parent volunteers from each class.

If you feel your child will be comfortable once you leave, we would love to have your help. We understand that some children—especially our younger ones—may have a harder time with separation, so we encourage you to consider what will work best for your child.

Please let us know if you’re interested in volunteering—we truly appreciate your support! 💛

🌸 FAMILY RESOURCE FOR MAY

Supporting Your Child at Home

At A New Day CDC, we value strong partnerships with families. When children experience consistency between home and school, it supports their social-emotional development, learning, and overall success.

Simple, everyday interactions at home play an important role in your child’s growth.

Ways to support your child at home:

  • Read together daily to build language and early literacy skills

  • Talk and listen, engage in conversations and ask open-ended questions

  • Encourage independence by allowing your child to complete simple tasks

  • Use positive guidance by modeling kindness, patience, and problem-solving

  • Maintain consistent routines to support emotional security and behavior

These practices are supported by early childhood research and align with our curriculum and classroom approach.

May Family Tip:
Spend time outdoors exploring nature. Simple activities like walks, observing plants, or playing outside help build curiosity, language, and connection.

Working together, we can continue to support your child’s development both at school and at home.

PARKING LOT

As our preschool continues to grow and we welcome new families, our parking area can become a bit busier during drop-off and pick-up times.

To help us accommodate everyone safely and smoothly, we kindly ask that families move through the parking lot as efficiently as possible during these times.

We truly appreciate your cooperation and support as our preschool community continues to grow!

A New Day Child Development Center will be closed on Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day.

God Bless all who serve!
